Even More 23 Things

Thank goodness for Thom's list of where 23 Things participants are up to! I'd never keep track, so here's another update.

A few weeks ago, I decided to try using a funny image generator. I was told about the Simpsonize Me site, but not having a decent picture of myself, I decided that was not going to work. I did discover Bart drawing lines on a blackboard and thought that was pretty cute. I used it in my Sammy Cheng post, but am not sure if I spelt her name correctly. I just found an image generator using barcodes. It was very simple to use and I like the effect.

Flickr! How I adored this site! What a brilliant way to share photos with family, friends and the world! I found pictures from the past as well and this provided some fascinating historical detail. I've put a selection of my own up, and joined the group "Japan through the eyes of others". It was fun to view other member's pictures and participate in or read discussions.

I've also installed my own feed reader so my blog can go out to the world! Scary huh! I also had luck with subscribing to Digg.com and can now read this whenever I like on Bloglines. I'm not sure that I would like to read the news this way as I prefer more visual information and I have a close relationship with my newsreaders (I mourn the departure of Angela Pippos from the ABC News and have joined the Alan Kholer Appreciation Society on Facebook).

I've also subscribed to "Gestural Lines" and "Librarians Have Fun Too" and thanks to Bloglines, its much easier to keep up with all these individual blogs. The only trouble is, I don't get to see what the original blog looks like.....Bloglines is efficient, but not overly attractive.

I think that's caught me up for the time being, but stay tuned for more 23 Things and more movie reviews.
